Long term weather forecasts are notoriously unreliable. But here's one those of us in drought stricken Texas are hoping will come true:
chance for El Niño increasing to about 65% during fall, and to about 70% during winter 2018-19

El Niño typically results from higher than usual water temperatures in the Pacific. And the phenomenon usually produces wetter weather in the Southwest. Here's hoping!
