It's always interesting to see Rotten Tomatoes' "Approved Tomatometer Critics" scores diverge from the "Users" scores for controversial TV shows.
The Conners, you'll recall, was the spin-off that resulted after Roseanne got fired from the show that bore her name in the title. So take a look at this divergence re The Conners.
The one on the left was snipped from the website about a month ago -- November 20, 2018. The one on the right was snipped on December 18, 2018.
It's a mystery why the divergence was so great -- but the two sides are creeping together, although at a very slow pace.
Perhaps the negative Audience Scores were posted by people who disapproved of Roseanne getting fired and used this scoreboard as a way to display their feelings about it. And the newer posters got over it and decided the show wasn't that bad. But who knows? As to why the experts are so far off from the Audience is still a mystery, too.
