Those of us over a certain age grew up in a different racial environment -- segregated schools is probably the most memorable indicator. But there was also the general belief that the way things were was the way things were supposed to be.
Then along came Martin Luther King to point out that maybe that wasn't the way things were supposed to be. He opened a lot of eyes.
Anyway, this post is a modest tribute to Dr. King on the day we celebrate his accomplishments. Watch his famous speech here and remember his dream for a future in which it's not the color of a person's skin on which they should be judged but the content of their character. Amen.
