People in the U.S. made El Chapo very wealthy with their appetite for the contraband drugs. Testimony in the trial has revealed how his people smuggled the drugs into the U.S.
Planes, trains, automobiles, trucks, boats, submarines and tunnels are some of the means they used to smuggle drugs. By far the most interesting method was putting cocaine in jalapeño cans weighted to feel as if they actually contained jalapeños. Very clever. And it serves as a reminder that someone determined enough can thwart those whose job it is to detect smugglers -- deception is always one step ahead of detection, by definition.
Democrats focus on the trial testimony of witnesses who confirmed the belief that a majority of the smuggled drugs would not have been stopped by a wall. But that's a dodge used to demonstrate how much smarter they are than Donald Trump. However, the purpose of border barricades is to stop illegal immigration. Stopping drug smuggling would be a side effect.
