End red light cameras -- the only people wanting them must have something to gain from them
The concept of a Robocop must have some appeal for movie goers. But in the real world that appeal is quickly overshadowed with a quite rational fear of any computer with the power to punish for the purpose of enhancing revenue for government entities. Red light cameras fall into that category, and, voters who have been given a choice have rejected them as too invasive.

Texas legislative session #86 has started, and Representative Strickland is trying again with H.B. No. 1631. He's got the backing of none other than the governor of the great state of Texas, Greg Abbott. Let's hope they can get it through the sluggish Texas legislature this time for the governor to sign.
