Just what we need -- people on the other end of phone learning about our emotional state and other things from an AI program. Cogito software is sold to companies that use call centers, and the purpose is supposed to be to help train employees to stay alert to the customers' needs.
But wouldn't it be just a easy to use the program on the customer to determine the most likely way to close a sale?
Anyway, it's just one more way AI is creeping into our lives. But at least computers aren't reading lips like a Hal 9000, at least not yet.
