Women have made huge advancements into jobs that a few decades ago were dominated by men. But those are clean jobs.
Having worked one summer during high school as a garbage man, I have great admiration and sympathy for those guys. I can say "guys" comfortably because they mostly still are guys. (How long before they start calling garbage men garbage persons?)
In any event, we'll have true sexual (gender) equality when there are an equal number of men and women garbage persons. As of now, according to BLS Labor Force Statistics for 2018, only 16.1% of the "waste management and remediation services" workforce consisted of women.
To be fair to trash haulers, there are a few other professions in which women don't measure up in numbers. Trucking (12.5%), logging (5.9%), coal mining (6.2%), construction (9.9%), and auto repair (9.7%), for example.
Get busy, gals. Get your hands dirty.
