Two crimes. Two cities. Two reactions.
The headlines scream at us about the killings at a church near Fort Worth Sunday morning and the stabbings Saturday evening at a Hanukkah celebration at an Orthodox rabbi’s home in New York.
The reactions were breathtaking. The TV news days later showed us New York politicians speechifying about how bad hate is. The news in Texas told us the incident there was over in six seconds when members of the congregation pulled their own guns and dispatched the killer.
Amazing contrast.
Gun control advocates can't seem to grasp the concept that someone bent on killing will unlikely be deterred by a law banning guns.
Meanwhile, a big shout-out to Texas Governor Abbott and the Texas Legislature for passing the amendment allowing concealed handgun license holders to carry in churches.
