For many of us over a certain age Martin Luther King was a epochal person.
Judge persons by the content of their character not the color of their skin -- he opened a lot of eyes and minds with those ordinary words with such an extraordinary meaning. Today, after several decades, those words seem quaint and old fashioned. Now we have identity politics permeating practically everything.
I, too, have a dream. I dream of a day when we can go back to judging people by the content of their character and not some ancillary characteristic.

Meanwhile, happy MLK day!
