The impeachment theater has been going on so long the audience has either tuned out or passed out.
Nonetheless, it's now raging in the Senate.
But here's the dog that didn't bark. If Democrats are truly bothered by what Trump is alleged to have done in Ukraine, then why haven't they passed a bill that would outlaw the conduct that has so outraged them so that it won't happen again?
The answer is actually quite simple. They don't want to put laws in place that would likely be used against a future Democrat president. (Also, such a law could be unconstitutional.)
